Tax Day often inspires dread and disdain, but this year April 18 also carries deals and discounts.
Liven up your Tax Day with these sales, specials and freebies that promise to lighten the annual hit to your pocketbook. Or, if you’re expecting a refund, consider these a bonus.
- Bananas Smoothies & Frozen Yogurt: On April 17-18, accountants can get “The CPA” smoothie free (a frostie with strawberries, bananas and Red Bull Yellow Edition) at participating locations when they present a valid CPA license.
- Bob Evans: On April 18, get 30% off your entire dine-in or carry-out order when you show this coupon at the restaurant’s participating locations.
- Bruegger’s Bagels: Sign up on the bagel joint’s website to claim the special Tax Day $10.40 big bagel bundle.
- Designer Living: Through April 16, get 25% off sitewide with coupon code TAX25. Some exclusions apply.
- Hard Rock CafĂ©: “Sing for your supper” on April 18. Sing your favorite song on stage at a participating location and get a free Legendary Burger.
- Outback: Get 15% off your entire check through Tax Day. Register for the restaurant’s email list or app to receive a coupon for this deal.
- Royal Caribbean: Through April 18, book travel free of taxes and fees on round-trip Mediterranean sailings, sailings six nights or more to the Bahamas or sailings six nights or more to the Caribbean. Offer is valid for travel May 15, 2016, through March 31, 2017.
- Schlotzsky’s: On Tax Day, buy a 32-ounce drink and a bag of chips to get a free small Original sandwich.
- Staples: On April 18, shred 5 pounds of paper for free.
- Travelocity: Take $100 off select vacation packages ($1,040 minimum, four-plus nights) with code TAX1040; offer is valid April 15-19 for travel between April 15 and Sept. 30, 2016. Get $75 off selected hotels ($450 minimum) with code 75TAXDAY; valid April 15-19 for travel between April 15 and Aug. 31, 2016.
